Hold nose, vote McCain

For the first time in my life I will be voting outside my party in November.

Our readers recommend:

I come from generations of Democrats. I have been a Democratic chairwoman. This election is very serious. This country is in economic disaster, involved in a useless war, greed is out of control, health care a mess, laws ignored and not upheld.

We do need a change. Obama is not the right change. This is not the time to elect a president with no experience, one we really do not know, who has no record of achievements.

Even without these facts, his associations are racist. We all know, "Bad associations spoils useful habits." We also know no one associates continually with people we do not identify with, much less have our children taught by them.

Unless a good third-party candidate appears, I, along with many friends across this nation, will vote for John McCain in November. As McCain's mother put it, we will hold our noses and vote for him. At least we do know what he has done in office. I hope all Hillary backers will do the same.
