MARK BATASKA has been appointed vice president of logistics and supply chain management, a new position at Sun World International LLC, the company announced. In his new Bakersfield-based position, Bataska is to be responsible for strategic and operational planning, dealing with quality control, transportation, packing-house facilities and material procurement. He previously worked in supply chain management at JBS Swift and Co. and Del Monte Foods. The Chicago native earned a bachelor's degree in political science at Loyola University and a master's degree in business administration at DePaul University. -
