So just what are people picking up, and how much are they paying?

Here’s a sample of fresh-off-the-press transactions. All were recorded early this week and are in the metropolitan Bakersfield area.

We chose a somewhat random assortment of bank-owned properties from a variety of institutions, new construction and even one house bought on the steps of City Hall at a public auction.
